How much is a WoF in New Lynn?
$60 flat at Precision Automotive, 62c Portage Road. That's the complete NZ Land Transport inspection with no add-ons, and the re-test is free if anything needs fixing.
How often do I need a WoF?
Cars first registered on or after 1 January 2000 need a WoF every 12 months. Older vehicles need one every 6 months. You can get one up to 28 days before the current one expires without losing the remaining time.
Can I get a same-day WoF?
Usually yes. Book ahead if you need a specific time, but we can often fit a drop-in WoF in on the day. Call (09) 827 0322 and we'll tell you honestly what the day looks like.
What happens if my car fails its WoF?
We show you exactly what failed on the car itself, quote the repair before doing anything, and you decide whether we fix it. Once the work is done the re-test is free. You have 28 days to get failed items repaired and re-inspected.
